Season: July & August
"The best education does not happen at a desk, but rather engaged in everyday living - hands on, exploring, in active relationship with life."
― Vince Gowman
An experience like no other!
Our summer camps are structured so that kids can sign up for a week or a month. Each month is broken down into the following four weekly focuses:
We offer two age groups every week:
Entering 1st & 2nd Grade in Fall 2021
Entering 3rd - 5th Grade in Fall 2021
While each week is a new adventure, all weeks include:
Organic lunch daily
Kids yoga classes
Nature hikes around the farm
One free adult yoga class pass
To register, you must create an account as a parent & then add your children; you can then book your child from their account. Email us if you have troubles! Read below to learn more about these exciting camps & register soon as we anticipate they will fill up. Our COVID-19 policies for our camps are outlined here.
It all starts with nature.
The focus of this week in our camp structure is our foundation for anyone wanting to participate in the month long camp. It's focused on the flora & fauna that is in our eco system, from aquatic bugs & plant life found in our creeks and streams to identifying animal prints and other native plants. This week includes nature made boat races, a camp favorite!
Nature Week Dates:
July 5 - 9, 2021
August 2 - 6, 2021
With a foundation in nature, we take the next logical step in learning how to survive in our natural habitat, in an age specific way. Skills learned will include compass and basic map reading, basic first aid, building & cooking over fire, purifying water, building a shelter, fishing in our pond and scavenger hunts around the farm.
Wilderness Week Dates:
July 12 - 16, 2021
August 9 - 13, 2021
Homesteading education at its best.
Learn the time honored and proven skills of the homesteaders that came before us. Campers will participate in animal care with our chickens and pigs, planting and harvesting in the gardens, candle making, butter churning, food preservation methods and potato sack races.
Pioneer Week Dates:
July 19 - 23, 2021
August 16 - 20, 2021
Let's get creative!
Art week is all about fun and creativity using natural materials! Skills learned will include learning how to weave, working with clay pottery, using garden goodies to create paint, learning how to tie dye & crafting our own bird feeders. We will also create colorful snacks from the garden - a camper favorite!
Art Week Dates:
July 26 - 30, 2021
August 23 - 27, 2021
Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the program start date will be refunded in full. Cancelations made 13 days or fewer prior to the program start date are subject to retention of the entire camp fee. No refunds for “no-shows,” withdrawals or illnesses. For The Parents
It's not all about the kids!
Let's re-think drop off and pickup time... instead of rushing in and out, consider sticking around for some YOU time. There are lots that parents can do separate from Camp Bodhi while on the farm. Summer options include:
Yoga. Check out our yoga class schedule and make some time for yourself. You get a free adult class pass with your child's camp fee.
Massage. Schedule a private creekside massage to relax and rejuvenate.
Dine. Grab a meal or a drink at our outdoor creekside Field Kitchen with or without the kiddos.
